Dr Felipe GONZALES-PENAGOS
Director de Hidrocarburos
Geologist from the National University of Colombia, Master from the University of Barcelona
and PhD from Paris VI and IFP. He has 15 years of experience studying petroleum systems
and numerical models in sedimentary basins of Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Aruba and Guyana.
Currently he works mainly coupling geochemical characterization and basin models to
reconstruct the fluid flow history of water, oil and natural gases (hydrocarbon and non-
hydrocarbon) in sedimentary basins. He co-organised with the French ambassade the first H2
workshop in Colombia in 2021.
