Alexander Hogeveen Rutter

Alexander Hogeveen Rutter is the Electricity Sector Lead for Third Derivative, the world's largest ClimateTech accelerator. He is leading Third Derivative's investment theses on Natural Hydrogen in preparation to support companies in the sector. Previously, he held senior roles in multilateral institutions International Solar Alliance and the International Finance Corporation, including leading work on Green Hydrogen in Asia-Pacific. He previously worked with Boston Consulting Group, including work on Hydrogen for a leading Natural Gas retailer.
Previously he worked for Manitoba Hydroelectric, an integrated utility in Generation, Transmission and Distribution. He holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Third Derivative is the globe's leading climateTech accelerator. We have supported numerous Hydrogen startups and are keen to engage with Natural Hydrogen start-ups as well.

We have prepared a draft investment thesis on natural hydrogen to support Venture Capitalists and other investors to engage in the ecosystem. This session would present the draft thesis and solicit feedback from scientists, policymakers and start-ups on how best to unlock financing for the ecosystem
