Nicolas Pélissier is the co-founder and President of 45-8 ENERGY, a company dedicated to the exploration and production of eco-responsible industrial gases, natural hydrogen and helium. Nicolas Pélissier holds a double engineering degree in geology (UniLaSalle) and petroleum geosciences (IFP-School). He began his career at Total, where he spent 11 years in charge of Oil & Gas exploration and development projects, including more than 7 years abroad (Yemen, Algeria, Libya, Angola). Following a heightened awareness of current environmental issues, he co-founded the start-up 45-8 ENERGY with the ambition of using his skills for strong entrepreneurial actions to serve the ecological transition. Founded in 2017, with more than €30m raised to date and now boasting more than 30 employees, the company is recognized as one of Europe's leaders in natural hydrogen and helium E&P, with several projects underway in France, Germany and Kosovo. Very active in French entrepreneurship and innovation networks, Nicolas Pélissier is a co-founder and member of the steering committee of the Earth2 initiative, which brings together players in the European underground hydrogen sector (natural and geological storage). He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of the MATERALIA competitiveness cluster, which specializes in processes, materials and energy.
