Médéric PIEDEVACHE

Médéric Piedevache is branch manager of the french subsidiary of the Solexperts group. For more than 25 years, he has been involved in various instrumentation and in-situ testing projects in underground environments in fields as varied as deep borehole surveys for Alpine tunnels, instrumentation for geotechnical monitoring during tunnel construction and mine closure. For the past 20 years, it has been mainly involved in carrying out experiments as part of the CMHM research program on the disposal of radioactive waste in France. The projects cover geomechanical monitoring of excavation, hydrogeological characterization of the clays and their evolution over time, geochemical measurements, and the development of new measurement tools and concepts. In parallel with these activities, he has been working for over 15 years with the CNRS GeoRessources teams on various research programs on underground gases: deep CO2 storage, H2 storage monitoring, and most recently dissolved gas measurement for a CBM project in Lorraine, which led to the development of a new technology, SysMoG®, for deep gas H2 and He prospecting.
